Our nurses and healthcare assistants make up the majority of our team, working closely with our executive leadership team and trustees to provide hospice at home care for our local communities.
Leadership Team
Andrew Revell
Executive Director
Our Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Trustees via an Executive Committee (EXCO) comprising of other Trustees.

Andrew has responsibility for the daily operational management of the charity, together with the planning and execution of our strategic plan.
Andrew spent many years working in Banking and Finance in the UK and abroad, and whenever possible, he dedicated time to supporting both national and local charities. [show more] His connection with Shipston Home Nursing deepened in September 2017, following the charity’s support during the care of his late wife. Soon after, Andrew began volunteering his time and expertise, offering management support and carrying out a review of the charity to identify opportunities for improvement.
In November 2017, Andrew was appointed Interim Executive Director, and in October 2018, he became Executive Director.
Andrew is a firm believer that the quality of care provided to patients and their families is fundamental and must remain at the heart of everything the charity does.
Tracy Brewer
Head of Operational Support
Tracy has been part of the Shipston Home Nursing team since 2015, leading our operational and administrative functions.

With a diverse career spanning the charity sector, local authorities, HM Forces and organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau, Tracy brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role.
Originally trained as a bookbinder, Tracy retrained in business administration in the early 1990s, which led to her first role in the charity sector.
Tracy is passionate in ensuring our teams have the systems and support they need to deliver outstanding care to patients and their families and takes great pride in being part of Shipston Home Nursing and the community it serves.

Anna has been a valued member of the Shipston team since 2022, demonstrating clinical excellence and patient-centred care.

Kate Bamford,
Head of Fundraising & Communications
Kate’s background is in journalism, where she spent over ten years working on national consumer magazines before going freelance in 2008

Kate joined the charity in February 2022 to oversee all fundraising activities and external communications.
Kate is responsible for developing and delivering events and appeals, managing donor relationships, community fundraising, publicity, and ensuring that people know about the services offered by the charity.
Over the past three years, she’s seen how essential it is to tell the stories of those we care for, to build trust with our donors and to ensure people know that this service exists and how to access it.
Jo Sweby
Head of Trusts and Grants Fundraising
Jo leads our Trusts and Grants Fundraising at Shipston, playing a vital role in securing the funding that underpins our palliative care services

Jo works closely with charitable trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies, building strong, lasting relationships to ensure we have the resources needed to support patients and families across our region.
Since joining in 2022, Jo has significantly increased the charity’s trusts and grants income, strengthening our ability to provide vital end-of-life care to the local community.
Before moving into the charity sector, Jo had a successful career in film and television. She returned to the area when her eldest son was born and is proud to now be part of a team making a tangible difference in people’s lives every day.
Allison Allen
Fundraising & Communications Coordinator
Allison joined SHN in August 2022, bringing almost 20 years of experience in fundraising and communications for national and local charities

Allison’s career began at Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK (formerly the Jennifer Trust), where she supported families and volunteers and raised awareness through community and event fundraising. She then moved to Dogs for Good as Trusts Manager, where she specialised in securing large grants and building long-term relationships with funders.
At Shipston Home Nursing, Allison is responsible for developing local partnerships, coordinating fundraising events and appeals such as the charity’s Sponsor our Nurses campaign and 100 Club, and promoting the charity’s services online and through social media. Her goal is to inspire people to support our work through donations, events, and volunteering.

Anna Briggs
Head of Nursing
Anna is Head of Nursing at SHN and joined the team in 2022.

Anna starter her career was in law, where she worked as an investment funds solicitor before deciding to retrain as a nurse in 2017, following a long-held desire to work more directly with people at times that really matter.
Since qualifying, Anna has worked as a nurse in cancer care and bereavement, as well as serving as a manager at the Human Tissue Authority.
She joined Shipston Home Nursing in 2022 and became Head of Nursing in January 2026. Anna oversees the day-to-day running and development of our nursing care and supports the team to deliver care that is skilled, thoughtful and centred around what matters most to each patient and their loved ones.
Every day, Anna sees how much difference it makes for people to be cared for at home at the end of their lives. She feels privileged to work alongside a team that provides such meaningful support to patients and families across the Shipston community.
Caroline Lloyd
Nurse Coordinator
Caroline joined the Shipston Home Nursing team in 2016.

Caroline moved into community nursing at the Ellen Badger Community Hospital in the nineties and, after 8 years, joined the District Nursing Service in Wellesbourne. This service was merged with the Shipston team and she met and worked alongside Shipston Home Nurses before joining us in November 2016.
Caroline says she finds it a privilege to help and support patients and their families at this stage in their lives.
Suzanne Roberts
Nurse Coordinator
Suzanne joined Shipston Home Nursing in 2018.

Suzanne started her nurse training aged 18 at Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral. Once qualified she worked on the Oncology Unit for 5 years beginning a lifelong interest in palliative care.
Suzanne then started district nursing putting her palliative care experience to good use in the community where she remained for 23 years.
Heather Goding
Nurse Coordinator
Heather plays a vital role in supporting patients and families

Heather qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1993 from the Norfolk and Norwich Teaching Hospital, relocating to Worcestershire in 1999 and taking the position of Macmillan Nurse in Warwick Hospital. During this time, she gained her Bsc Hons in Palliative Care from UCE Birmingham.
In 2005 Heather became Lead Macmillan Nurse for Warwickshire and she joined the SHN team as a Nurse Co-ordinator in June 2018.
Her entire nursing career has been devoted to working within the field of End of Life Care.
When asked what makes Shipston Home Nursing successful, Heather says “the people, staff, patients and their families and carers. It is truly a team effort and with one aim in mind – to support patients and their families to achieve their wishes whatever they may be at the end of their lives.”

Our Nurse Coordinators are at the heart of the care we provide.
With a wealth of experience and a calm, supportive approach, they help guide patients and families through each step, ensuring everyone feels listened to, understood, and cared for.
Trustees
The Board of Trustees are all volunteers and generously give their time to support the development and ongoing sustainability of the charity. Collectively, the Trustee group have responsibility for the compliant operation of the charity in accordance with the guidelines issues by the Charity Commission, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatory and advisory bodies. The Trustees determine the strategic direction of the charity and oversee the implementation and execution of the strategic objectives through the Leadership Team.
The Trustee Group is led by the Chair and organised into a number of sub-committee groups, each group having responsibility for a specific functional area.
David Morris
Chair of the Board of Trustees
David joined Shipston Home Nursing as Chair in 2023.

David was born in Lower Brailes and, after several years working in Cornwall, London, Australia and Cambridgeshire, he returned to Ilmington, where he now lives with his wife and two children.
David has a broad range of experiences in healthcare, the not-for-profit sector and commercial business.
Having trained as an adult nurse, he worked as a nurse in the UK and overseas, providing hands on care in a range of acute medical settings before a stint as a nurse advisor to the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Since his days as a nurse, David has worked for a large global accounting and advisory firm where he now leads a large team, focussed on healthcare advisory to large corporate and Government clients across the globe.
In addition to his client and leadership roles, David acts as a mentor to a number of staff members with a specific focus on performance and wellbeing.

Emily McHale
Trustee
Emily is a GP Partner at Shipston Medical Centre.

After many years of working closely with the dedicated team at Shipston Home Nursing, Emily was delighted to join the charity as a trustee in 2022.
Tim Preece
Trustee
Tim is a local GP Partner at Hastings House in Wellesbourne.

Tim is also assistant medical secretary for Warwickshire Local Medical Committee. He has previously held honorary contracts at UHCW Coventry, Myton Hospices and Warwick University.
Whilst not working, he enjoys cycling (of all forms), wild camping, golf and travelling with his family
Sarah Tremellen
Trustee
Sarah was the former CEO of lingerie retailer, Bravissimo.

Sarah started the Bravissimo business from her living room over 30 years ago.
Bravissimo and Sarah have won numerous awards including Lingerie Retailer of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year and Entrepreneur for the Year.
Sarah also led the team that set up Ilmington Community Shop, a village shop and café owned by a community cooperative and run by volunteers for the benefit of the community.
Sarah joined SHN as a trustee in October 2025.
Graham Deakin
Trustee
Graham worked as a GP in the Bristol area until 2014.

During his time as a GP in the Bristol area, Graham also undertook a number of management roles.
These included being a director of a large GP out of hours service and Medical Director of NHS Direct (Avon, Glos and Wilts). As a GP, he was closely involved in delivering end of life care to many of my patients and this part of my work was especially fulfilling.
Graham is enjoying an active retirement, volunteering in the Charity Bike Shop in Stratford and is hoping to become a Community First Responder in the area. Graham is married, with a dog and three grown up sons.
Ray Coyte

Ray is a First Responder for the Midlands Ambulance Service based in Shipston.

Ray has a business background based in places such as Munich, Johannesburg and the US.
During the pandemic he retrained and started working for the NHS, initially as a vaccinator.
Ray is a First Responder for Midlands Ambulance Service based here in Shipston.
He joined Shipston Home Nursing as a trustee in 2025.
David Moon

David is a Fellow of the CPFA with an MBA, bringing nearly 40 years of NHS experience.

David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CPFA) with an MBA, bringing nearly 40 years of NHS experience.
David is a Non-Executive Director at the University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust, David is also a contractor providing management consultancy advice with SWFT Clinical Services Ltd supporting the Foundation Group (South Warwickshire, George Eliot, Worcestershire Acute, and Wye Valley NHS Trusts) as well as other NHS organisations on strategic finance.
John Beaumont
Trustee
John worked for Alliance Medical in 1990, and later joined Quest Medical in 2008.

John trained as a Radiographer and, in 1990, started work for Alliance Medical, a Mobile MRI start-up business.
John joined Quest Medical in 2008 and is now retired. He has lived in the area for 35 years and enjoys tennis, chess, snooker and gardening.
Jo Carroll

Jo Carroll joined the Board of Trustees in 2022.

Jo experienced the charity’s compassionate care following the loss of her mother. She served as a civil servant for 27 years, specialising in communications and government press relations.
Jo now manages a small business in Tysoe, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Michelle worked as a Director at Myton Hospices.

Michelle worked as Director of Nursing and Care at Myton Hospices from 2015 to 2024.
Following her retirement, Michelle was keen to continue to support colleagues working in palliative and end of life care, whilst also supporting her local community.
