People will have a chance to start (or finish) their Christmas shopping at the Shipston Home Nursing Gift Fair, being held at Ettington Community Centre, Rogers Lane, on Tuesday 12th November (5.30am – 8.30pm) and Wednesday 13th November (9.30am – 3pm). Entry is £5 and includes tea or coffee and a homemade biscuit.
The fair, which is always popular and attracts local shoppers from far and wide, will feature several new stalls this year, as well as all the firm favourites, including the Foodie Hall, featuring Apple Brandy & Damson Gin, Scottish smoked salmon from Uig Lodge Smoked Salmon, locally made walnut oil from Granary Oil Company, and Sheer Indulgence with their delicious Christmas cakes, puddings and homemade chocolates. Lunch of home-made soup will be served between 12.00-2.30pm, and proceeds will be kindly donated to Shipston Home Nursing.
There will be plenty of original and beautiful gifts from which to choose, including hand-made jewellery, ceramics, candles, locally made crafts, Christmas cards and decorations and lots more.
The sale will raise vital funds for the charity, which offers a free ‘hospice at home’ service for people with a life limiting illness, who live in Shipston on Stour, Wellesbourne, Kineton and surrounding villages.
Rebecca Mawle, Head of Fundraising for Shipston Home Nursing, said: “Our gift fair is one of the highlights of the festive season. Shoppers come from miles around to look for original and special gifts. We’re really grateful to the army of volunteers who help us stage this brilliant Gift Fair. They work tirelessly to support us, and we couldn’t do this without them.”
