SUMMARY:Walton Hall 10k Fun Run / Walk
DESCRIPTION:Our annual 10k at Walton Hall returns this October! Whether you’re a keen runner or prefer a leisurely countryside walk\, this is the perfect event for you. \n\n\n\nWalton Hall is a 16th century mansion set in 65 acres of glorious countryside overlooking a lake. Walk or run the route through nearby woods\, into the village of Walton and back to the Hall. \n\n\n\nOnce again\, we will be offering electronic race timing for runners and the all-important bacon (or vegetarian) roll at the finish line for all entrants! \n\n\n\nEnter as an individual\, or gather a group of friends or colleagues to enter as a team. When you register you can also set up your own fundraising page which enables friends and family to support you and Shipston Home Nursing.  \n\n\n\nRegistration from 8.45am – Start 10am \n\n\n\nPre-register for a discounted entry fee! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: This event is cross country with sections of road. \n\n\n\nSet in the grounds of Walton Hall Hotel by kind permission of Sir Andrew Hamilton and Walton Hall. \n\n\n\nRoute subject to change depending on weather conditions. \n\n\n\nAll children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \n\n\n\nThis event is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are welcome but on a lead please. \n\n\n\nShipston Home Nursing will be taking photographs at this event. These images will be used by Shipston Home Nursing to share news about the event\, and to publicise our future fundraising events. Images may be used in press releases\, printed publicly and published on the Shipston Home Nursing website. They will be stored securely\, and we will delete them after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes. SUMMARY:July Walk for SHN
DESCRIPTION:Join Elizabeth and her fellow walkers for a 2.5 – 3 mile scenic walk around Ilmington on Thursday 9th July. \nMeet at 6pm in the car park of the Howard Arms. The walk starts with a fairly steep climb (which will be taken slowly) up to Pig Lane\, from there it is a relatively flat walk across and down the hill\, with far reaching views on both sides.  Anyone not keen on the hill can meet at a point on Pig Lane – which will be explained on the day. \nPlease let Elizabeth know by email or text whether you plan on joining the walk and whether you intend to eat at the Howard Arms after. \nEmail: e_searle@btinternet.com \nText: 07876 681846 \nPlease note\, if it is extremely hot on the day\, there is the option of a flat route at Oxhill instead\, so keep the date free! \n  \n
