SUMMARY:September Walk for SHN
DESCRIPTION:Join Elizabeth Searle and her fellow walkers on Thursday 10th September. Back in July we had to postpone the proposed Ilmington walk as it was far too hot to climb the hill – so it’s time to try again! As the evenings are already getting dark earlier please meet in the Howard Arms car park at 5.45pm for a prompt start no later than 6pm. \nThe walk starts with a fairly steep climb (which will be taken slowly) up to Pig Lane. From there it is a relatively flat walk across and down the hill\, with far reaching views on both sides.  Anyone not keen on the hill can meet at a point on Pig Lane – which will be explained on the day. \nPlease let Elizabeth know by email or text (e_searle@btinternet.com / 07876 681846) no later than 7pm on Tuesday 8th September: \n\nWhether you intend to join the walk\nIf you would like to stay to eat at The Howard Arms after the walk.

SUMMARY:Through the lens... a dozen delightful butterflies
DESCRIPTION:Richard Gray is delighted to host a photography exhibition of 12 species of butterfly\, all taken at Blackberry Farm… with guest appearance from Monty\, the caterpillar of the year! \nThese beautiful images have all been captured by talented local photographer\, Dave Wasdell.  There will also be a display of entomological equipment. \nFor children there will be a competition to draw and colour your favourite butterfly (real or imaginary) to win a prize.  Gertie’s ice creams will also be in attendance\, with free ice cream’s for children 10 and under. \nEntry is free\, but donations will be appreciated.  All proceeds will support Shipston Home Nursing. \nDuring the exhibition\, photographs can be ordered in A3 or A4 size. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! \n  \nAddress: \nBlackberry Farm\, near Halford\, CV36 5DL \nOpen from 10am – 4pm daily \n  \nFor further information\, please contact Richard on 07977 587 911 \n
