Our next Shipston Home Nursing walk is slightly delayed and now on Thursday 12th October. Join John Dudbridge and his fellow walkers by the green in the middle of the village, just up hill from The Stags Head pub in Swalcliffe. There is some street parking and we have used the parking by the Tithe Barn in the past.Â
We will move off at 6pm sharp, crossing the road towards the Tithe Barn. We then go up hill on the main A4035 towards Shipston for a few yards before turning right down the foot path. The first 50 – 100 yards can be a muddy before we walk across fields in a NW direction until we meet the Roman road, turning right and walking in a circle back to the pub. This is a gentle, attractive walk mainly on tracks and it is fairly level.
Afterwards, we’ll head back to the pub for those who would like to stay for something to eat or just a glass and a chat. If you would like to stay to eat in this friendly pub with a Greek flavour please let John know so that he can give numbers to the pub.
Please call / text 07507 312239 or email john.dudbridge@sky.com by 6pm on Tuesday 9th if possible.
This will be the last of the evening walks before we revert to the winter schedule of daytime jaunts.
