Our June walk takes place a week later than usual and we’re hoping for a lovely early summer evening!

Walk starts:                 6pm

Meet at:                      The Horse and Groom, Bourton on the Hill

Distance:                     Approximately 3 miles, just over an hour and pretty level

The route is a new one for us although starts and finishes at a familiar hostelry. It is planned to follow the contours as near as possible, making it pretty level with the last part on the pavement from the Batsford Estate entrance.

In total the route is just under 3 miles and is mostly paths and tracks, with a bit of country lane. The whole of the walk lies between the 250 and 150m contour lines. It is dog friendly, no stiles and just the odd gate. The road through the village is the A44 but has a pavement, whereas the lane (L on the map below) is just that and the Batsford Drive (BD) has wide mown verges.

If you are stopping for a drink and something to eat then please do park at the Inn, however if you are not it may be wise to park in one of the side streets on the left after the church and before the pub as you drive from the Fosse.
