First Saturday for the Stour Valley Wildlife Action Group at Blackberry Farm.
The event went really well and was enjoyed by local friends and new, enthusiastic people. The afternoon consisted of the stunning walk around Richard’s farm where we saw beautiful wooden wildlife sculptures of fox’s, otters, hedgehogs and badgers. Refreshments were welcome after people had completed all or as much of the walk they wanted to.
The weather held up well enabling everyone to see a huge variety of butterflies in the fields and hedgerows, plus the ones Richard had in the moth trap from the night before. Also on display were brilliant paintings of butterflies done by pupils of Shipston High School.
Richard also had his amazing display of classic cars on show – there really was something for everyone.
We are looking forward to the next three Saturdays in July, 13th, 20th and 27th, please come and join us to help raise funds for the wonderful team at Shipston Home Nursing.
