‘Autumn Flowers and Foliage’ at Armscote Manor Gardens

This inspiring workshop takes place in the light filled barn, within the stunning private gardens at Armscote Manor. Here there will be displays of seasonal flowers from which to create a series of watercolour studies/paintings. There is also the opportunity to paint in the gardens, if the weather allows. 

Open to participants from beginners to the more experienced, this is an opportunity to enjoy the ambience, and develop your watercolour skills, use of colour, brushwork and creating texture with the guidance of Melanie, who will be giving painting demonstrations and one to one guidance. 

Melanie is a professional artist and tutor, with a particular skill and feel for watercolour, and a wide portfolio of subject inspiration. She brings an expressive and fresh approach, allowing the vibrancy and essence of the subject to emerge through focussed direct observation and a variety of techniques. 

The day starts at 10am in the Garden Barn with an introduction and coffee.

Art Materials

Please bring your own. You can request a ‘suggested’ art materials list from Melanie on booking.

A donation from the workshop proceeds will be made to SHIPSTON HOME NURSING. 

Coffee and tea are provided on arrival. Please bring a packed lunch.
