Tuesday’s walk

The next fundraising walk in aid of Shipston Home Nursing takes place on Tuesday 30^th November

I will be leading a route from the Horse and Groom pub in Bourton on the Hill near Moreton in Marsh.
This is fairly flat terrain covering about 3.5 miles and taking approximately one and three quarter hours.  The walk takes us through lovely park land and past the Mogul palace of Sezincote which was built by the great-great nephew of the diarist Samuel Pepys.

When checking the route,  there was one field with cattle and a few fields with sheep. Some of the paths may be quite muddy and there are numerous styles on the return leg.

Please meet in the car park of the Horse and Groom in Bourton at 10.45. 
This pub is closed on Tuesdays so I’m suggesting we go to the Coach and Horses in nearby Longborough which is open and has a traditional pub lunch menu.

As usual, I need you to let me know by Sunday evening, 28^th November:

1. If you intend to come on the walk
2. If you expect to stay for lunch so that I can give numbers to the pub.

Tuesday, 4^th January   –   John will take us on a walk in the Clifford Chambers area.   Again, fairly flat!

Tuesday, 1^st February  –   Location is yet to be decided but will be advised in due course, mainly because so many pubs are closed at the beginning of the week, and will be led by Richard
