Leaving a legacy gift to Shipston Home Nursing in your will is an incredibly special gesture that will support families in the future. Your legacy, however big or small, could make a real difference to families in need of hospice care in years to come.
There are three different types of gifts in wills:
Family and friends first (residuary legacy)
Naturally, providing for your family and friends is a priority for many people. After taking care of your loved ones in your will, a residual legacy enables you to leave a percentage of, or whatever is left in, your estate (the ‘residue’) to Shipston Home Nursing, either alone or alongside other charitable causes.
Cash gift (pecuniary legacy)
This type of legacy is a fixed sum of money that you can choose to gift to Shipston Home Nursing in your will. We are always very grateful for these cash gifts.
Gift in kind (specific legacy)
You can also choose to leave specific items in your will such as property, shares, jewellery, or furniture to support Shipston Home Nursing.
Donating Shares
If you have shares, you may wish to consider donating them to ShareGift, the share donation charity. ShareGift is an independent UK registered charity (no. 1052686) which specialises in releasing the money locked up in small shareholdings, but which can accept donations of any size.
